Applied Behavior Analysis Services
The Arc’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services are based on peer-reviewed research and overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). ABA uses principles of behavior to help individuals learn socially appropriate skills and achieve independence.
ABA Services can address a variety of behavioral needs and can effectively produce behavior change in any individual from infancy to adulthood. They can be used to decrease maladaptive behavior and to increase socially appropriate behaviors and skills. Procedures can be used in any setting including biological, foster and adoptive homes, residential placements, vocational settings, schools, childcare centers and community settings.
The Arc’s ABA Services support individuals of all ages with a wide variety of skill levels and address individualized goals to meet the needs of consumers, caregivers and others involved.

Mercy Autism Clinic
The Arc has partnered with Mercy and Missouri State to open an autism diagnostic clinic in July 2015.
The clinic will operate two days a month—on the 2nd and 3rd Mondays.
This diagnostic session will include occupational therapy evaluation, speech therapy evaluation and the ados 2 testing.
Early intervention is important because the earlier a child receives help, the more effective the treatment—especially for children with more severe autism. The ultimate goal is to get children as functional as possible by the time they reach adulthood.
Mercy is partnering with The Arc of the Ozarks and Missouri State University on the project. MSU graduate students will learn how to diagnose autism and will be available to follow the children into their schools and serve as a behavioral resource for teachers.
