An employee in this class functions as a Qualified Developmentally Disabled Professional (QDDP) with the overall responsibility for the development, the implementation, the coordination and the evaluation of individual personal plans adapted to the needs of individuals in community residential programs and/or day services. The employee functions as a supervisor in implementing and coordinating all developmental activities in the provision of active programming, including, but not limited to, improving the self-help skills of persons served, economic self-sufficiency, socialization, behavior, leisure skills, mobility, communication, personal health, and other skills leading toward increased independence.
Requirements: Individual chosen for this position will have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in a human service field. Will consider 5 years’ experience if no degree. Applicant must also have a minimum of one year experience in management and one year working with individuals with DD/MI. Must be highly motivated, organized and dedicated to enhancing the lives of others. This position will entail supporting individuals with a dual diagnosis of developmental disability and mental illness. Salary range will be commensurate with experience and knowledge of the field.
