Hunt, Fish & Swap

Hunt, Fish and Swap is a premier outdoors equipment show in Springfield, MO which benefits The Arc of the Ozarks. Hunt, Fish and Swap started as the merging of one man's passions, hunting, fishing and supporting people with disabilities, into one event. He never imagined where it would lead.

Over its first three years, Hunt, Fish and Swap attracted over 5,000 people, featured an average of 60 vendor booths, and raised $28,000 with the goal of purchasing a wheelchair accessible van.

In late October 2011, funds raised from Hunt, Fish and Swap and The Arc's annual sporting clays shoot were used to purchase a van which will support individuals with disabilities in Greene and Webster counties.

Hunt, Fish and Swap 2012 marks the launch of a new campaign to further independence opportunities for people with disabilities through supporting moves into Individualized Supported Living homes (ISLs). The move to an ISL means no more group home or living at home with family. The individuals (typically 2-3) are responsible for furnishing their home, providing rent payments, paying utilities, etc. Most people making these moves can carry their worldly possessions in a single box. Hunt, Fish and Swap aims to help these individuals get started in their new life by providing needed assistance to help start and continue the transition.

Come shop with us on Feb. 25 & 26. Admission at the door is pay what you will with all proceeds helping The Arc open ISLs in our communities.

Directions:

From I-44 – Take Exit 80, head south 2 miles. Turn right onto Pythian Street, arrive at The Arc on the right in .3 miles.

From Hwy 65 – Exit at US-65 BUS/Chestnut Expressway – Head west for 2.1 miles. Turn right on Glenstone Avenue. Drive .3 miles then turn left on Pythian. Arrive at The Arc in .3 miles.

From South Springfield – Follow Glenstone Avenue north past Chestnut Expressway, turn left on Pythian Street (.3 miles past Chestnut). Arrive at The Arc on the right.
