Residential Services
The Arc of the Ozarks offers residential options including group homes and supported living in apartments and community residences. Depending upon the needs of the individuals, the homes are integrated in the community and are as accessible as necessary to provide for full and complete use by each person living there. The staff at each home is trained in health and safety skills and provides support and services designed to help each person achieve the greatest level of independence desired.
Independent Living Apartments
The Arc of the Ozarks manages a supervised apartment complex. This service provides people who may need some social support and direction to live in their own apartment. The individual may know how to cook and complete basic domestic tasks but needs support in planning menus or shopping for groceries. There is an employment requirement for living in this facility.
Group Homes

Barber Home
The Barber Home, named after the late Emma J. Barber, is located in Mountain Grove, MO, between Springfield and Joplin. The co-ed home houses six residents who are able to be independent with a small amount of support. Several of the residents enjoy working at the workshop in Mountain Grove. When not working, the individuals are always on the move; whether it is playing their favorite instruments, bowling in bowling leagues, working ceramics or watching movies, there is never a dull moment for the group.
The group enjoys the community pool table and movie nights when they are together. The large home provides opportunities for each person to enjoy an independent life in a comfortable setting.

Delaware
Delaware Group Home in Springfield is a warm family centered home full of women who truly care for one another and the people who enter their home to help provide them with a better quality of life. Most of the time you can find all 7 ladies on their back porch taking care of their flowers or just visiting with their friends. If it's the holiday season you will find Delaware ladies hosting the best parties of the season.

Finley

Lakeside
Lakeside, located in Springfield, is home to 6 lovely ladies. They range in age from 48-83 and have different disabilities, making each of the ladies unique in their own way. Each lady has their own bedroom and decorates it according to their preferences. The ladies enjoy having barbeques in their back yard, inviting friends over to play bingo, having pet therapy in their home, spa days and having movie and popcorn afternoons. The ladies love being on the go by getting out to garage sales, shopping for groceries, going to the parks and enjoying special events in the community.

Lombard
Lombard home, located in northeast Springfield, is home to eight ladies ranging in age from 40-60. Each lady is encouraged to pursue her own personal interests, which include many musical talents. One interest that the ladies all share is a deep love for Wheel of Fortune, which they watch nightly. When Wheel of Fortune is not on, the ladies are often on the go. Whether it is shopping, going to the park or enjoying long walks the ladies stay busy. When the night is winding down or the weather is bad, the ladies can be found enjoying a good book or magazine.

Newport
The Newport Group Home is a male residential habilitation facility under the Renovations Department of The Arc of the Ozarks. Located near downtown Springfield, Newport serves 6 men ranging in age from late teens to mid twenties on a semi-permanent basis. The home is part of a program designed for young men in crisis and gives new individuals entering the Renovations program an opportunity to begin their path toward community independence. These individuals work on initial life skills needed for employment and self-direction in an environment that allows them to exercise choice and self-expression. The men in the home participate in community volunteer work, educational programs and maintain a very active lifestyle including a range of activities such as bicycling, fishing and exploring personal points of interest in the community.
In addition to the six residential beds, the home is also equipped with a two bed unit that is reserved to provide short term stabilization for young men experiencing emotional distress.

Nichols
Nichols is a four bed female group home located in central Springfield. The ladies who reside there are involved in the Renovations Behavioral Support Program at The Arc. These ladies range in age from early 20's to early 30's and are very active in their community. They enjoy frequenting the pool, library, parks, and shopping. All of the ladies participate in volunteer work in the community, most recently at the Humane Society. All of the ladies are encouraged to be active members of their household and take responsibility for their health and wellness. We encourage everyone to look to their future, focus on their goals and actively pursue the kind of life they want to live.

Norton
Eight men call Norton home; they range in ages from late 40's to mid 70's and have a variety of interests. The men enjoy spending time watching movies at home, going out to eat, and going to the park. Several of the men are also very active with church; four of them have attended the same church for over 20 years. They enjoy spending time with their families and friends. One of the gentlemen has an uncle who comes to visit and brings his karaoke machine and they then have karaoke night.
Norton is in Springfield, MO.

Oak Hill
Oakhill Group Home is located in Marshfield MO. Currently there are 8 individuals living in the home, both men and women between the ages of 30-60 years old. Several of the individuals have lived together for 20 plus years, and they are truly like family for one another. If you were to walk in to Oakhill, one of the first things you would notice is how warm and cozy the home is, as well as inviting and clean; then add 8 unique, amazing individuals to the mix and it’s very wonderful and special. The individuals enjoy going into the community as often as possible, including; shopping, going out to eat, picnics in the park, walking in the neighborhood, Springfield Cardinals games, going to the movies and many more activities. Typically, the individuals also participate in going to Silver Dollar City at least once a year. The individuals are involved in a Day Program M-F at their home, which includes working on personal hygiene, crafts, exercising, household chores and going out in the community. During the evening hours and weekends, the Oakhill family enjoys watching movies, playing games and sitting outside on the patio to enjoy the weather. The individuals at Oakhill are a true joy to be around.

Pierce City
Pierce City Group Home serves as The Arc’s version of a retirement home. The home is currently home to four men and one woman who range in age from 65-82 years old. The Pierce City group enjoys going out to eat, attending church, and outdoors activities including going to the park. Residents also enjoy shopping and attending community events.

Plymouth
Plymouth Group Home in Monett is home to six males ranging in age from 29-65 (Plymouth can accommodate up to 8 clients). The men in this home enjoy going to races, concerts, out to eat, Branson shows and activities in the community.

Sagamont
Sagamont is home to six very active ladies. The ladies moved into the Sagamont home in February of 2007 after an ice storm in Springfield severely damaged their home on Elm St. They range in ages from mid 30's to mid 60's.
The ladies are very proud of their home. As they moved, the ladies were able to have a great deal of say in how the home was decorated therefore they feel a great deal of pride and ownership in their home. As part of the feeling of ownership they feel each of the ladies chooses a weekly chore from cleaning the kitchen to sweeping the porches and they ensure that it is done. Each of the ladies helps to make the weekly menu and prepares a meal of her choosing with staff's assistance.
The ladies have a wide range of interests. During the week they attend either a Day Program or go to work. They like to go on evening walks around their neighborhood and visit with their neighbors. On the weekend the ladies like to go to garage sales, out to eat, shopping, to the park or to the movies. They love to have their friends over for a visit or for a special dinner. The Sagamont ladies strive to be as independent as possible.

Sherman
Nine awesome guys live at Sherman, ranging in age 24-66. Many of the men have extensive medical needs, but still make time for work and play. One resident works with a floor crew through The Arc, another volunteers with Cox/Wheeler center. Several of the men participate in sports (through organizations such as Special Olympics or A Sporting Chance). One man at Sherman is currently making a CD of Christian music. He enjoys singing at local nursing homes.
When not working or pursuing their various hobbies the guys at Sherman enjoy having barbeques, water balloon fights and often dance parties.
The Sherman Home is located in central Springfield.

Silo Ridge
Silo Ridge in Bolivar is a men's group home and is home to six men. The Gentlemen enjoy going out to eat, delivering Meals on Wheels, and being outdoors exercising. They enjoy movies at home and cooking out.

Sixth Street
There are six gentlemen living at the 6th Street group home in Monett. Their ages range from 22-75 and most of them are like family to each other and also good friends. The staff members here have also been around for years and deeply care for the men that live here. Each individual has interests which they enjoy pursuing including music, crafts and farming. Some shared interests among the residents include working, whether in an area business or sheltered workshop, doing activities as part of the Community Connections group in Monett, and a variety of other tasks.

Summer Hill
Summer Hill, located in Cassville, is home to six lovely ladies. The ladies range in age from 20 to 76 but they are like a big family. The ladies enjoy trips to Branson, eating out, having BBQ's and being out doors. When at home the ladies enjoy having their hair and nails done and they enjoy having popcorn and movie nights.

Timber Creek
Timber Creek in Bolivar is a ladies group home with six ladies living there currently. They enjoy going shopping, out to eat, church, and various social activities. They also enjoy time at home having spa days and getting manicures and pedicures.
