However, for many people with autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities, the experience of air travel can be overwhelming and difficult, making these trips seem impossible.
Wings for Autism is an airport rehearsal program specifically designed for individuals on the autism spectrum, people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. The program gives families the chance to experience the process of taking flight.
The Arc of the Ozarks is pleased to bring back Wings for Autism to the Springfield-Branson National Airport on August 24th.

After careful consideration, we will be canceling the Joplin Trick or Trot 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run this year. The Joplin Division will work over the next year to create a strategic plan for marketing and developing an event that will gain excitement and raise awareness in the Joplin community.
