They deserve the same
opportunities as you.

Every person has dreams, goals, and a desire to direct their lives regardless of their abilities. We help those in our community with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing employment, housing, and community.

WHY WE EXIST

Community and Support.

In 1964, our founding families saw that their kids weren’t getting the support they needed. More could be done, so they founded The Arc of the Ozarks.

Since then, The Arc has been pioneering new services to help people with disabilities find housing, work, and support for themselves and their families.

See how it all began.

Two of our family members have individual therapy, we have family therapy, and we have DBT group, it's a great place to work through things, get support, diagnosis, & treatment. Here we are seen, we are heard, we are supported. Our family is broken but the Arc is helping us pick up the pieces, mend what's broken, offering new more effective tools, and move forward. The benefits of showing up, participating, practicing new tools, being honest and open, and having a safe space to be transparent have been life changing.

I have a client that I work with who sees PT, OT and SLP at Arc. The staff are professional, personable and helpful. Not only the therapists, but all staff know my client by name, interacts with her and makes her smile every time we walk in the door, no matter what mood she may be in at that moment. I can not say enough good things about this facility. If the client's condition changes and they need to change techniques, they will do their research to make sure my client is getting the most out of her sessions while making "work" fun. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who would require these kinds of services they offer.

My child has been seeing staff across specialties (PT, OT, SLP) at The Arc of the Ozarks for a couple of years. They have been fantastic at coordinated scheduling. We have always been met with compassion and a desire to help. The staff is great at working with parents to create goals and help build a foundation for families to continue at home. I have always been met with a smile and and staff that are eager to help. Our SLP has even effectively communicated with our rural school district and the team has helped to educate school staff for using the AAC device. Thank you Arc of the Ozarks!
